Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh registered its strong presence at the national level by presenting green, modern and technology-based transport models in the Green Transport Conclave held in New Delhi. The state clearly laid out its vision of sustainable mobility, better logistics and future-oriented infrastructure.
Conclave focused on sustainable and green mobility
The two-day ‘Green Transport Conclave’ organized by the Indian Federation of Green Energy was inaugurated in New Delhi on Tuesday. In this event, experts discussed topics like automobile, railways, aviation, electric mobility, biofuel, long distance transport, urban transport and energy transition. During this period, the development model and investment possibilities of Uttar Pradesh were greatly appreciated.
Nitin Gadkari inaugurated, UP presented its vision
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated this conclave. In the program, Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission (STC), presented in detail the state’s green transport policy and future plans in front of policy-makers, industry representatives, investors and experts.
Emphasis on green transportation and strong infrastructure
Manoj Kumar Singh said that sustainable transportation, clean energy based green mobility and modern logistics network are being developed rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is becoming a major center of economic development and for this modern and environment-friendly transportation is necessary.
Connectivity increased through expressway network
He said that Uttar Pradesh is today the leader in expressway development in the country. Projects like Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Ganga Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway have created fast and easy connectivity in the state. These projects have reduced travel time, saved fuel, increased investment and made freight transportation more efficient.
Focus on electric mobility and multi-modal connectivity
The state government is promoting electric vehicles, e-buses, charging stations and clean public transport. Along with this, multi-modal connectivity is being strengthened so that the transport system can become more efficient.
Rapid progress in biofuels and clean energy
Uttar Pradesh is also moving forward rapidly in the field of alternative fuels like ethanol, biogas and compressed biogas (CBG). Energy production from agricultural waste is also being promoted, thereby ensuring both environmental protection and benefits to farmers.
Transportation is changing with AI and smart technologies
Manoj Kumar Singh said that the use of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), smart traffic systems, digital tolling and real-time monitoring will make the transport sector more modern. Uttar Pradesh is committed to providing better and safer services to the citizens by adopting these technologies.
Big step towards ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh 2047’
He said that green transportation, strong logistics and sustainable infrastructure will play an important role in achieving the goal of ‘Vikas Uttar Pradesh 2047’ and trillion dollar economy.
