In the meeting, many important instructions related to smooth examination system, maintaining law and order and public interest were issued.

Relief to NEET students, 50% discount in bus fare

Giving a big relief to the candidates appearing in the NEET examination to be held on June 21, the Chief Minister said that students will be able to get 50 percent discount in fare in UP Roadways buses by just showing the admit card. About three and a half lakh candidates are likely to appear in this examination to be conducted in 59 districts of the state. Instructions have also been given to ensure temporary accommodation arrangements for students coming from other districts. CM Yogi asked to keep a strict vigil on rumors and misleading information related to the examination and take immediate action against the misinformation being spread on social media.

Administration alert regarding Moharram and Yoga Day

Regarding Moharram, the Chief Minister clarified that traditional events will be respected, but no new traditions will be allowed. There will be a complete ban on display of weapons in processions. Besides, instructions have been given to keep the height of Tajiya as per the prescribed standards and maintain peace and order. At the same time, on International Yoga Day, mass yoga programs will be organized in more than 57 thousand gram panchayats and 762 urban bodies of the state. The theme of this year has been ‘Yoga for Healthy Age’. A special cleanliness campaign will also be conducted in the entire state a day before Yoga Day.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the negligence in redressal of public complaints and warned the officials that laxity in resolving public problems will not be tolerated. Also, in the districts where there is no Chief Medical Officer (CMO), instructions were given to ensure appointment within three days.
