Ranchi Police has busted the ongoing liquor smuggling from Jharkhand to Bihar. Police have arrested four liquor mafia. Besides, a large quantity of fake bottles of branded liquor have also been recovered. Liquor mafia used to smuggle fake liquor by putting fake Indian Government plates on their vehicles. He used to bring liquor from Bokaro and refill it in fake branded bottles in Ranchi.
Acting on secret information, the police have arrested the liquor mafia. The accused used to sell fake liquor bottles at high prices in Bihar. He was planning to sell spurious liquor in the border districts of Nawada and Gaya. Due to the liquor ban law issued in Bihar, liquor is smuggled in large quantities by the liquor mafia.
Police found 465 fake liquor bottles
Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha said that the police had received secret information about making and selling fake liquor. On the basis of which, on the instructions of Ranchi City SP Rajkumar Mehta, action was taken by forming a team under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Sadar and Sadan police station in-charge. Based on information, police raided Pawan Singh’s house located on Booti Basti Devi Mandap Road, Ranchi. During the raid, the police recovered 465 expensive spurious liquor of different brands. Police arrested four accused Santosh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Adarsh Singh and Nikhil from the spot.

During the raid, the police also recovered a number plate with Government of India written on it, which these people used to supply liquor from Jharkhand to Bihar by putting it on their vehicle. A vehicle named Tata Punch has also been recovered. The accused told the police that they used to bring fake liquor from Bokaro district of Jharkhand and refill it in branded bottles of expensive liquor and send it to Bihar.
