Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the program “Yuva Samvad: Yuva Shakti, Progress of Uttarakhand” organized in Tanakpur, Champawat. On this occasion, the local people and youth gave a grand welcome to the Chief Minister. In the program, the Chief Minister interacted with the youth and listened to their ideas, suggestions and questions related to various subjects and answered them. During this period a large number of youth were present.

Dhami government’s big vision for the youth
- The Chief Minister said that youth are the biggest strength of any state and nation. The youth of Uttarakhand are talented, energetic and full of innovation potential. The resolution of developed Uttarakhand can be fulfilled only on the basis of their strength.
- The Chief Minister said that today India is among the youngest countries in the world and this young energy has the potential to make the country a self-reliant and developed nation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government has worked towards making the youth not just opportunity seekers but also opportunity givers.
- He said that campaigns like Startup India, Digital India, Skill India, Make in India and Khelo India have opened doors to new opportunities for the youth. With initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, youth are moving towards self-employment.
Youth got confidence in transparent system
- The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is also giving priority to employment, self-employment, skill development and innovation for the bright future of the youth. Youth are being given opportunities to move forward through Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme, Youth Promotion Scheme and Rural Skill Development Schemes.
- He said that along with promoting the startup culture in the state, work is being done to give recognition to local products through “One District, Two Products” scheme and “House of Himalayas” brand.
- The Chief Minister said that schemes like State Millet Mission, Apple Mission, New Tourism Policy, Home Stay Scheme, Wed in Uttarakhand and Solar Self-Employment Scheme are creating new self-employment opportunities for the youth.
Jobs for more than 33 thousand youth
- CM Dhami said that due to the clear policy and transparent system of the government, there has been a significant reduction in the unemployment rate in Uttarakhand. Also, in the last four and a half years, more than 33 thousand youth have got opportunities in government services through a fair and transparent recruitment process.
- The Chief Minister said that to ensure that there is no injustice to the hard work and abilities of the youth, the country’s strictest anti-copying law has been implemented in the state. Now the recruitment process is being conducted with complete transparency and honesty.
- He said that sports culture is also being continuously promoted in Uttarakhand. The successful organization of the 38th National Games has proved that Devbhoomi is now making its mark as a sports land as well.
- The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working to connect the youth of marginal areas with education, sports and modern facilities. Better opportunities are being provided to the youth through various institutions including Women Sports College in Lohaghat.
- He said that the government is working on the principle of “no pendency”. To implement the announcements on the ground, the schemes are being completed in a time bound manner by releasing the budget.
- The Chief Minister called upon the youth to dream big and move forward with hard work, innovation and positive thinking to fulfill them. He said that the youth of Uttarakhand are the creators of the new Uttarakhand and the progress of the state lies in their progress.
