Gorakhpur: Now you will not be able to meet your girlfriend in jail, this new system has come into effect

Now, no matter how hard their girlfriends try, they will not be able to meet the male prisoners lodged in Gorakhpur jail in Uttar Pradesh. Now the visitors to this jail will have to give proof at the outer gate itself that they are relatives of the prisoner. This investigation will be even more stringent especially for women. Gorakhpur jail administration has taken this decision keeping in mind many incidents that have come to light in the recent past. In this, the jail administration has caught many girls with fake documents and objectionable material.

In the new guidelines given by the Gorakhpur jail management for visitors, it has been clearly stated that now no prisoner will be allowed to meet anyone other than relatives. For this, every visitor will be duly checked at the outer gate itself. The visitor will be given the opportunity to meet only after proving his blood relation with the prisoner. If any visitor does not prove his/her relationship then the meeting will be cancelled.

Girlfriend had brought mobile for the prisoner

According to the jail management, the girlfriends of the prisoners have also been coming to meet them. Recently, during the investigation, not only fake documents were recovered from many such girlfriends, but a lot of objectionable materials including mobile phones were also found. The girlfriend of a prisoner had come inside the jail with a mobile phone for him. In such a situation, keeping in mind the security inside the jail, a new guideline has been issued.

New system implemented strictly

According to Jailer Arun Kushwaha, the new system has been implemented with immediate effect and with complete strictness.
