New Delhi: GooGoogle is going to launch its new flagship smartphone lineup, Pixel 11 series, on August 12. The company had confirmed the arrival of the Pixel 11 family only last week and has now also released a new teaser video on the homepage of its online store. Through this video, the company has also confirmed the new feature called ‘Pixel Glow’, which was being discussed for a long time.
The teaser video shows a circular LED light burning in Google’s signature colors. It is believed that this will be a notification light. There are also reports that there may be an option to set different colors for different apps. However, its complete information will be revealed only in the launch event to be held on August 12. Google has also said that pre-orders for the Pixel 11 series will start from the launch day itself. If reports are to be believed, the company can introduce four models named Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
According to leaked information, Pixel 11 Pro Fold will come in Pine and Midnight color options. At the same time, four colors like Dune, Light Fog, Pine and Sterling are expected for Pixel 11 Pro. There will be no major changes in the design and Google will retain the horizontal camera bar in the regular models. But an updated camera island has been provided in Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Reports suggest that the main and ultrawide cameras have been repositioned, the autofocus sensor has also been changed and the size of the LED flash has also been increased.
As far as specifications are concerned, the new series may be similar to the previous generation in terms of display size. Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro are expected to have a 6.3-inch OLED display, while Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to get a 6.8-inch OLED panel. Pixel 11 Pro Fold may have a 6.4-inch external display and an 8-inch internal foldable screen. Google is going to make a big upgrade in terms of performance. According to reports, all models will have Tensor G6 processor built on TSMC’s 2 nanometer technology. It is expected that this new chip will be more efficient and with better power management than the previous generation Tensor G5.
Apart from this, there is also news that Google can use MediaTek’s new M90 modem instead of Samsung’s cellular modem which has been in use for years. Also, there is speculation that the Pixel 11 series will come with Android 17 operating system.
