Sadhus of Juna Akhara in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh created a ruckus in the Collectorate on Tuesday morning. Sadhus brandished swords outside the DM’s office and even called him a thief. Sadhus allege that sadhus always stay in Kanva Trishi’s ashram. But DM Bijnor’s team wants to forcibly vacate this ashram. Not only this, in a sudden raid, 100 quintals of wheat, 70 to 80 cattle etc. from the ashram were loaded into trucks and made to disappear. In protest against this, dozens of saints and sages came to surround the District Collector.
The situation reached such a stage that Collector Ankit Kumar had to go out of his office through the back door in a private car. On the other hand, the saints protesting near his car kept playing dhol majira. During this time, some sadhus and sadhus also wielded swords. A Sadhvi challenged the DM with a sword. He scolded them and accused them of stealing 70-80 cows and 100 quintals of wheat from Kanva Ashram. Seeing this rowdy appearance of saints in his office, DM Ankit Kumar thought it best to leave through the back way.
Allegation of taking away grains and cows from the ashram
Sadhvi Ganga alleges that the DM and SDM have conspired with the village head of Swahedi to vacate the ashram. They made the idol of Ashtadhatu disappear from the temple of the ashram and after closing the temple, they also took away the cow, grains, clothes etc. After this the ashram was locked. Due to this, worship has stopped here. In protest against this, more than fifty monks and nuns have sat on strike in Bijnor Collectorate.
ADM-SDM also heard harsh words
During this time, SDM and ADM also reached to convince the sadhus and tried hard to convince them. However, the sages sent them back after scolding them too. On the other hand, Somdev, the village head of Swahedi, says that this monk used to drink Chilam Sulfa in Kanva Rishi Ashram. Because of this, the children of the village were being adversely affected. When he complained to the administration in this regard, this action was taken. Now the administration has vacated the ashram and got it locked.

She herself has been living here for years and doing worship, penance and cow service. Whereas Pradhan Somdev and some of his associates want to grab the ashram land.
