According to Apple, the sleep notification system has been designed with the help of big data and advanced machine learning from clinical-grade sleep apnea tests. The company says that this feature detects disturbances in breathing patterns during sleep through the accelerometer installed on the wrist. If the accelerometer detects persistent severe sleep apnea, a notification will be sent to the user.
This advanced feature will monitor the user’s sleep and alert him if he shows signs of sleep apnea (a serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts). However, Apple has clarified that this feature is not a diagnostic tool to detect any disease, but its purpose is to encourage users to get checked by a doctor. Hearing ability will be better
The second big feature is the hearing test for AirPods Pro users. The company claims that these tests are suggested by experts and clinically approved. To perform this test, you will have to connect the AirPods Pro to the iPhone or iPad and it will take about five minutes.
After the test, users will get complete information about the result. This will reveal whether they have any problem in hearing or there may be a risk of it in the future. All the data is saved in the health app, which can be shared with the doctor for better advice and treatment if needed.
