Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst (Commodity) at HDFC Securities, said that amid the bullish trend in foreign markets, gold prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 750 to reach a life time high of Rs 63,500 per 10 grams.

Increase in gold and silver in foreign markets

Both gold and silver remained strong in the global market. Gold rose to $ 2,041 an ounce and silver strengthened to $ 24.95 an ounce. The spot price of gold in the commodity exchange Comex reached $ 2,041 an ounce, which is $ 27 more than the previous closing price. Gandhi said that apart from the weakening of the dollar, statements by a Federal Reserve official indicated that the US central bank will start reducing interest rates next year. This boosted business sentiment and gold in Comex reached its highest level since May.

Gold and Silver on MCX

On the other hand, the price of gold on the futures market Multi Commodity Exchange in the country set a new record. December contract reached record level with Rs 62,602. On the other hand, the February contract reached a new level of Rs 62,934. By the way, today December contract was opened at Rs 62602. However, at present the price of gold is trading at Rs 62,415 with a slight increase of Rs 30. Talking about silver, it is trading at Rs 75,461 per kg with a rise of Rs 162. During the trading session, the price of silver also reached the day’s high of Rs 75,650.
