A 17-year-old girl from Koriya district of Chhattisgarh had eloped and married a youth from another community. After this, the girl’s family kidnapped her in the absence of her husband.
Then the girl’s family handed her over to two relatives. Both are also heads of that community. Both of them raped her several times.
Also forced to give abortion pills
Along with this, the accused also forcefully fed abortion pills to a five months pregnant girl. The victim later told police that when she was sent to a medical store to get more abortion pills, she took the opportunity to call her husband and narrate her ordeal.
Husband informed the police
After receiving the call from the wife, the husband informed the police about the entire matter. After this the victim was rescued by the police. Also, both the accused have been arrested from Chandni-Biharpur area of Surajpur district. A case has been registered against the accused under POCSO Act and BNS. On Tuesday, both were presented in the court and have been sent to jail.
The family had filed a missing complaint
Police said that when the girl went missing a few months ago, the family had filed a missing report. After getting information about the marriage, people withdrew their complaint. The family found him in early July.

According to Korea Police, the family members, along with two community heads, reached the victim’s in-laws’ house and forcefully took her with them despite opposition from her in-laws. In the complaint given to the police, the victim said that her family handed her over to two community heads, Ramesh Singh and Daroga Singh.
The accused took the victim home
Both the accused took her to their house in Surajpur, held her hostage and raped her several times. When they came to know that the girl was five months pregnant, they forcibly gave her abortion medicine. Also kicked the child in the stomach to make him fall. At the same time, the police suspect that the girl’s family had initially accepted the marriage but due to community pressure they had to take such a step against her.
