Gujarat’s GIFT City has partnered with Vietnam’s new financial center VIFC-DN. The objective of this MoU is to share institutional knowledge and experiences. GIFT City has also signed agreements with Tata Communications and CEPT University for GCC development and research.

Partnership in GIFT City and Vietnam’s financial center

New Delhi [भारत]July 7 (ANI): Gujarat International Finance Tech-City (GIFT City) on Tuesday said it has entered into a partnership with Vietnam International Financial Centre-Da Nang (VIFC-DN). It aims to share institutional knowledge and best practices as Vietnam develops its international financial centre. GIFT City said in a press release that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard with VIFC-DN. Additionally, Indian Center for International Financial Services has also signed MoU with Tata Communications and CEPT University to support GCC development and promote research, innovation and executive education.

Having built India’s only IFSC from scratch, GIFT City will share lessons and institutional experience from its growth journey as the VIFC-DN takes shape.

“This partnership will cover financial services, fintech and digital innovation, capacity building and financial sector development. It will also explore opportunities for cross-border investment and stronger trade relations between India and Vietnam,” the company said in its press release.

The two institutions will also collaborate on joint research and publications, professional exchanges, conferences, seminars and outreach initiatives, and maintain institutional engagement on areas of mutual interest.

Commenting on the development, Sanjay Kaul, Managing Director and Group CEO of GIFT City, said, “International collaboration is essential to building a globally competitive financial centre. Through our partnership with Vietnam International Financial Center – Da Nang, we will share the knowledge and institutional experience gained from the development of GIFT City, as well as explore new opportunities in financial services, fintech and investment. We believe this collaboration can contribute to stronger financial and business relations between India and Vietnam.”

Agreement with Tata Communications also

GIFT City has signed an MoU with Tata Communications to jointly establish GIFT City as a preferred destination for GCCs, treasury centres, technology enterprises and other service-oriented businesses. The partnership will also include stakeholder engagement, market intelligence sharing and business development initiatives.

Also joined hands with CEPT University

GIFT City also signed an MoU with CEPT University. Its objective is to collaborate on research, knowledge exchange, executive education, sustainability studies, urban planning and capacity building, leveraging the university’s expertise in architecture, planning, design and urban management. (ANI)
