Ghazipur: Muslim youth were lighting the fire in the guise of a sadhu, with a rosary around their neck, a stick and a bag in their hand.

Three youths dressed as sadhus have been arrested under suspicious circumstances in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. These three youths were awakening the spirit of Bholenath in the villages with garlands around their necks and stick bags in their hands. When the villagers became suspicious of their activities, they chased them. During this time it was revealed that all three of them belonged to the Muslim community. After this, people caught them and first beat them and then called the police and handed them over. These three youths have been identified as Sohrab Khan, Shahzad Khan and Niad, residents of Dohrighat in the neighboring district Mau.

The matter is of Sukhaan market in Qasimabad market police station area of ​​Ghazipur. On Friday afternoon, the accused were wandering in suspicious circumstances in the populated area, begging for alms. According to the local people, the three youths were begging for alms in Jogi’s dress, invoking Lord Bholenath. However, looking at his gait and actions, it was clear that he could not be a Yogi. When the villagers feared something untoward, they started chasing them. During this time the suspicion was confirmed.

Accused handed over to police after beating

After this, the villagers caught them and beat them and then called the police and handed them over. The villagers allege that the accused have come here with the intention of committing some crime and were doing recce before the crime. On the complaint of the villagers, the police arrested the three accused and after interrogation, presented them in the court. According to Inspector Mahendra Singh, station in-charge of Kasimabad Bazaar, the identity given by the accused is being verified.

Police is investigating the background of the accused

In this regard, Dohrighat police station has also been informed and asked to investigate the background of the accused. According to the police, during interrogation the accused have told that they have no connection with any incident. He felt that he could earn a good amount of money by becoming a saint and begging for alms. Therefore, they started begging for alms by dressing up as jogis. At present the police is investigating the matter.
