Indore: Police have made a sensational revelation in the case of the death of a bank employee girl in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The incident which was considered an accident or suicide in the initial investigation, turned out to be a case of murder after investigation. According to the police, when the girl refused to marry, her boyfriend first strangulated her to death and later poured petrol on the body and set it on fire, so that the incident appeared to be an accident.
Case opened after half burnt body was found
This incident took place in Khajrana police station area of Indore. On July 26, the half-burnt body of a bank employee girl was recovered from a rented house. Given the initial circumstances, suspicion of accident or suicide was raised, but the post mortem report revealed that the girl died not due to fire but allegedly due to strangulation. After this the direction of the investigation changed.
Police reached the accused through CCTV and technical evidence
Police identified the accused on the basis of FSL investigation, CCTV footage and technical evidence. According to the police, the accused was known to the girl for the last five years. Investigation revealed that there was a dispute going on between the two regarding marriage. The police have arrested the accused and his interrogation is ongoing.
Accused of destroying evidence after murder
Police allege that after the murder, the accused poured petrol on the body, set it on fire and prepared the scene in such a way that it looked like an accident or suicide. However, post mortem report, forensic investigation and other evidence exposed the reality of the case.
