Assembly elections in Rajasthan are on Saturday 25th November. During the election campaign, everyone from the Congress high command to CM Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot have given the message of forgetting old political rivalries and uniting, but amidst the message of unity, Ashok Gehlot, through his statements, has maintained his claim on the CM’s chair. Has been kept. The entire campaign for Rajasthan Assembly elections seems to be revolving around Ashok Gehlot’s government. While Congress kept praising the achievements of Gehlot government, BJP was seen accusing Gehlot government of corruption. In such a situation, will the new friendship between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot work wonders in the assembly elections? And a new story will be written in the history of Rajasthan.
Even a day before the elections, Ashok Gehlot is not shying away from saying that he no longer has any political dispute with Sachin Pilot. On the eve of assembly elections, state Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot is trying to show Sachin Pilot as close to him. At least it seems so from a video of Sachin shared by Gehlot. From the local leadership to the top leadership of the Congress, no stone is being left unturned in efforts to improve the image of the Congress government of the state before the elections. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi himself had come forward to give the message of removing bitterness between Gehlot and Pilot.
It is noteworthy that the cold war between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot in Rajasthan is an old headache for the Congress. In recent times, the dispute between the two leaders reached such a level that Rahul Gandhi had to intervene. The dispute was finally resolved with the intervention of Rahul Gandhi and somehow the top leadership of Congress managed to convince Sachin Pilot to retain him in the party. But before the voting on Saturday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has shared a video of Sachin Pilot. In this, Sachin Pilot is appealing to the public to vote for Congress.
‘Reconciliation’ between Gehlot and Sachin

On the instructions of the top leadership of the party, they are trying to give a signal to forget all the fights and disputes among themselves and jump into the election field. The top leadership of Congress does not want that the discord within the party before the elections should create an adverse reaction in the minds of the voters. And that is why Gehlot-Sachin are walking on the path of ‘reconciliation’ by resolving the conflict before the elections.
Just a day before voting, Ashok Gehlot shared Sachin’s video. In the video, Sachin Pilot urged the people of Rajasthan to forget the old things and vote with new enthusiasm to support Congress. In the caption above the video, the Chief Minister wrote, ‘Congress youth leader Sachin Pilot appealed to the people of Rajasthan to vote for Congress.’ The only purpose of this video is to send a message of unity among the public and BJP could not take advantage of the dispute among them.

But what is the reason behind this change? There is a dispute going on between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot regarding the post for a long time. Last year, the top leadership had fielded Gehlot in the race to become Congress President. If Gehlot had become Congress President, Sachin Pilot could have become the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. But, after Gehlot along with 72 MLAs rebelled, the high command backed down. Then Sachin Pilot started raising questions on the Gehlot government.
After Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra earlier this year, Sachin Pilot campaigned alone for the Rajasthan elections, raising the eyebrows of the top Congress leadership. Speculation also started that Pilots may announce a new team. Later, the top leadership of Congress intervened in this matter and overnight their bitterness changed into new friendship.
Congress does not want to repeat the mistake of Madhya Pradesh
Let us tell you that the history of the last 25 years has been that neither Congress nor BJP has been able to gain power in this state twice in a row. Now the Congress leadership is desperate to change that trend. In such a situation, the Congress leadership does not want to let the conflict between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot come to light at any cost. The reason for this is that if Sachin Pilot gets angry, then BJP can pull him towards itself and cause a rift in Congress.
Similar case was in Madhya Pradesh. Even after coming to power, Jyotiraditya Scindia announced rebellion against his own party and left the Congress. Jyotiraditya joined BJP. As soon as Jyotiraditya Scindia left Congress, his supporters left Congress and joined BJP. Congress’s back broke overnight in Madhya Pradesh. BJP formed government in Madhya Pradesh using Jyotiraditya Scindia. The top leadership of Congress does not want this incident to be repeated in Rajasthan. The top leadership of the party does not want the situation to go out of control due to discord within the party. Before the elections, he has been instructed to present his non-controversial image before the public.

At the same time, according to political experts, Gurjars of Rajasthan have always been voters of BJP. Last time he left BJP and voted for Congress in the hope that Sachin could become the Chief Minister. The result was that out of 26 assembly seats in East Rajasthan, BJP did not get even a single seat. If Pilot joins the new team, it is likely that Gujjars will be inclined towards him. The vote of this community can play an important role in deciding victory or defeat in Rajasthan. In such an environment, the party does not want to take the risk of losing the votes of the Gurjar community by becoming a pilot in the election season.
