Gaurav Khanna Divorce Update: Akanksha Chamola has finally addressed the ongoing rumours surrounding her separation from actor-husband and Bigg Boss 19 winner .The Lock Upp 2 fame actress reacted to reports claiming that she has demanded a massive Rs 10 crore as alimony from her estranged husband.

opened up about the matter during a recent conversation with Mashable India. She was asked directly about the Rs 10 crore alimony reports and gave a rather blunt response. Akanksha said, “Agar manga hota aur agar mil gaya hota to main yaha baithti.”
She then took a dig at the rumours and added, “Agar sach me mere pas itne paise hote na to main kab ka ye desh chor kar chali gayi hoti.”
The alimony discussion gained attention after social media personality Orry spoke about Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha’s divorce. While commenting on their separation, Orry said, “I’m sure she’s going to take something from him in that divorce.”
However, Akanksha’s latest comments make her position clear. She has denied seeking Rs 10 crore from Gaurav and has dismissed the figure doing the rounds online.
The actress also addressed the constant trolling she has faced since news of her separation became public. One of the comments aimed at her was related to her marriage to Gaurav, who is around 10 years older than her. Akanksha was just 24 when she married the actor.

Akanksha also responded to people who have labelled her a “sugar daddy seeker” because of her marriage. She pointed out that men in their 30s, 40s or 50s are often casually described as sugar daddies. Taking a clear stand, she indirectly referred to Gaurav and said, “10 saal bada sugar daddy nahi ho sakta hai.”
Apart from the alimony rumours, Akanksha also explained why her Instagram username still carries Gaurav’s name. Her account continues to appear as “Akanksha Gaurav Khanna”, which had led to questions about whether she plans to change it following their separation. The actress revealed that the change has not happened because of an issue with Meta, saying, “Meta wale kar nahi rahe hain.”

For those unaware, Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola got married on November 24, 2016, in a three-day wedding celebration in Kanpur, Gaurav’s hometown. After almost 10 years of marriage, Akanksha confirmed their separation publicly in June 2026 during the premiere of Lock Upp Sach Ya Sazaa.
At the time, she revealed that the two had been living separately for around a year. Akanksha also made it clear that the decision was mutual and that there was no bad blood between them. According to her, they eventually realised that they were no longer compatible as partners and wanted different things from their lives.
With her latest comments, Akanksha has now put the Rs 10 crore alimony speculation to rest while also responding to some of the trolling surrounding her personal life.
