Akanksha Chamola took Rs. 10 crore? The actress reacts to “sugar daddy seeker” rumours

has reacted to rumours that she is seeking ₹10 crore as alimony from her estranged husband and actor . The actress, who recently opened up about her separation on Lock Upp Sach Ya Sazaa, dismissed the claim during a recent interview with Mashable India.

When asked directly if she had demanded ₹10 crore in alimony, Akanksha said that if she had actually asked for the amount and received it, she would not be sitting where she is today. She also joked that if she genuinely had that kind of money, she would have left India by now. Her comments make it clear that she does not accept the figure being circulated online.

 The actress was also asked about social media users calling her a “sugar daddy seeker” because she married Gaurav, who is around 10 years older than her. Akanksha hit back at the label, pointing out that men in their 30s, 40s or 50s are often referred to as sugar daddies. She questioned how someone only 10 years older could be described that way, indirectly referring to Gaurav. 

Akanksha and Gaurav married in 2016 after meeting in the television industry. Their relationship came under intense public scrutiny after Akanksha revealed on Lock Upp that they had been living separately and were heading towards divorce. Gaurav later clarified that they were still legally married at the time.

The ₹10 crore alimony claim gained further attention after Orry commented on the couple’s separation and suggested that Akanksha would take something from Gaurav. She has now directly rejected those rumours, while also responding to the criticism surrounding her marriage and divorce.
