When is Ganga Dussehra 2026?
According to the Panchang, Dashami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha Adhik month will start from 4:30 AM on Monday, May 25, which will continue till 05:10 AM on Tuesday, May 26. Since the sunrise of Jyeshtha Shukla Dashami tithi will be on 25th May, hence this festival will be celebrated on this day.

Ganga Dussehra worship method
– On Ganga Dussehra, one should go to the banks of river Ganga and worship. If you are unable to do this then you can perform puja at home also.
– For this, first of all after waking up in the morning and taking bath etc., take a pledge to fast and worship with water, rice and flowers in your hand.
– Clean some place in the house. During auspicious time, install a picture or idol of Goddess Ganga on a wooden platform here.
– Wear a garland of flowers and apply kumkum tilak on the picture of the goddess. Also light a lamp of pure cow ghee.
– Offer white clothes. After this, keep offering rice, abeer, gulal, roli, mehndi, etc. things to the goddess one by one.
– Finally, offer food to Goddess Ganga and perform Aarti as per the rituals. By worshiping in this way, the blessings of Goddess Ganga remain intact.
