Ganga Dussehra Bhog: The festival of Ganga Dussehra has special significance. On this day, one gets special virtues by bathing in Ganga, reciting puja and donating. Every year, on the tenth day of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month, people celebrate the festival of Ganga Dussehra with enthusiasm. According to the legend, Mother Ganga, pleased with the years of penance of King Bhagiratha, came to earth from heaven on the tenth day of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha.

Offer these things to Mother Ganga
barley: Offer Sattu to the Mother Goddess during the puja on Ganga Dussehra. Then donate this offering. By doing this one gets auspicious results. Sattu made from barley and gram provides coolness to the body in summer.
Seasonal Fruits: On Ganga Dussehra, offer seasonal fruits like watermelon, melon and mango to Mother Ganga. Melon is considered especially dear to the mother. Melon is being offered to Mother Goddess on Ganga Dussehra since ancient times.
Kheer or white sweet: On Ganga Dussehra, offer white colored offerings to Mother Ganga. White color is very dear to the mother. On this festival, offer kheer made of milk, rice and makhana to the Mother Goddess. Cashew Katli and white Rasgulla can also be offered to Mother Ganga.
Malpua: On the day of Ganga Dussehra, Falpu can also be offered to the Mother Goddess. This tradition is continuing in many places. It is believed that Mother Ganga removes all the sorrows of the devotees who offer Malpua.
Butter and sugar candy: Mother Ganga is also very fond of butter and sugar candy, hence make sure to offer butter and sugar candy to Mother Ganga.
