GAIL (India) Dividend: Shares of Gail (India) surged during Thursday’s trading session, after the Maharatna PSU announced dividend and fourth quarter result for the financial year 2025-26. Gail’s board of directors has approved 5% final dividend for FY 26.
Gail share price closed 0.23% higher at Rs 155.9 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,02,505.80 crore. The stock had touched an intraday high of Rs 157.65 per share and an intraday low of Rs 154.9 per share.

Gail’s board of directors, on Thursday, May 21, approved a final dividend of 0.50 per share for FY 26. “The Board of the Company has recommended the payment of Final Dividend @ 5% (Re. 0.50 per equity share) on the paid-up equity share capital of the Company, subject to approval of shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting,” read a BSE filing released on Thursday.

To become eligible for the payout, investors must own the company stock on or before the dividend record date to become eligible for the payout. The company is yet to fix record date for the corporate action.
Gail Q4 Result Recap
Gail (India) reported a soft March quarter. Its Q4FY26 net profit dropped 41% year-on-year to Rs 1,481 crore, as revenue from operations slipped 2.3% to Rs 35,705 crore. The company still proposed a final dividend of Re 0.50 per share, even as gas transmission and marketing volumes weakened compared with the previous quarter.
Pressure was visible on full-year numbers as well. For FY26, revenue from operations stayed broadly unchanged at Rs 1.42 lakh crore, while profit before tax fell to Rs 9,725 crore from Rs 16,095 crore. Annual net profit declined to Rs 7,581 crore against Rs 12,462 crore in FY25, as higher expenses weighed on earnings despite stronger contributions from associates and joint ventures.
Gail Q4FY26 Results: Revenue, Profitability and Key Financial Trends
During Q4FY26, Gail’s consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 35,705 crore, compared with Rs 36,549 crore a year earlier. Profit before tax for the quarter reduced to Rs 1,966 crore from Rs 3,240 crore in Q4FY25. Total expenses climbed close to revenue levels at Rs 34,989 crore, sharply higher than the year-ago quarter, squeezing quarterly margins.
