From solar plant to airport, where did Adani earn how much? report card revealed

Industrialist Gautam Adani is continuously facing many difficulties. Despite this, his group companies are continuously making record after record. The earnings of the companies are also increasing tremendously and the debt condition of the companies is also healthy. Data related to companies and half yearly performance figures are saying this. Meanwhile, Adani Power, a company of Adani Group, has made an even bigger record and has achieved one of the top rankings among global electric utility companies.

Adani Group works in sectors ranging from solar power plants to wind power, port management, airport management, cement, roads and other infrastructure sectors. Adani Group has released its earnings before tax (EBITDA) data for the first half (April-September) of the current financial year 2024-25.

How much income is coming from where?

According to the data of the companies included in the portfolio of Adani Group, the utility business has grown by 12.10 percent during April-September as compared to the same period of the financial year 2023-24. Its utility businesses include Adani Power, Adani Green Energy, Adani Total Gas and Adani Energy Solutions. The EBITDA of all these has been Rs 22,477 crore.

Similarly, the group’s transport business has seen a growth of 19.82 percent and its EBITDA has been Rs 9,938 crore. This includes the business of Adani Port and SEZ. Whereas the EBITDA of Infrastructure and Cement of Adani Group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises Limited was Rs 41,512 crore. In this segment also the growth of the company has been 1.01 percent.

Adani Group has said that its fund flow from operations has increased by 28.5 percent to Rs 58,908 crore for the year ending September 2024. At the same time, the total gross asset of the group has increased from Rs 75,277 crore to Rs 5.53 lakh crore. If we look at the level of debt and liquidity, Adani portfolio companies have enough cash (liquidity) to repay all the loan installments for the next 12 months.

Adani Power made record

Meanwhile, global rating agency S&P Global has released the ‘Corporate Sustainability Assessment’ rating of electric utility companies around the world for the financial year 2023-24. Adani Power has scored 67 out of 100 in this, whereas the average of other companies in this segment is only 42 points. In this way Adani Power has created a record at the global level.
