Lahore, Pakistan: An international criminal case has come to light from Lahore, the cultural capital of Pakistan, which has shaken not only the law and order situation there but also the highest political circles of the country. Police have arrested four influential suspects for the kidnapping and gangrape of two foreign women from the Netherlands and Venezuela. The case took a highly sensitive and high-profile turn when the main accused was found to have direct connections to Pakistan’s current deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Ishaq Dar. A local court in Lahore on Friday sent the four accused on five-day police remand, after which many shocking secrets are expected to be revealed.
Singapore to Lahore: The ‘hoax’ of cryptocurrency and the conspiracy of June 29
The script of this horrific incident started being written several months ago in October 2025 in Singapore. Police investigation has revealed that the victimized foreign women had come in contact with the main accused Muhammad Raza Dar during a visit to Singapore. There was talk of a partnership between Raza Dar and these women for a cryptocurrency venture (business). Raza Dar invited women to come to Pakistan on the pretext of business. Under this conspiracy laid like Shakuni’s chaupar, Raza Dar himself arranged for him a ‘Business Visa’ of Pakistan. As soon as both the women landed at Lahore Airport with great hopes on June 29, they had no idea that they had stepped into a dreadful trap.
No welcome, kidnapping! Ransom demanded at gunpoint
After reaching Lahore, these women were welcomed not with any business meeting, but at gunpoint. Raza Dar, along with his other associates, kidnapped both the foreign women from the airport itself. The accused took them to a secret house located in an isolated area of Lahore. There, not only were the two women taken hostage and brutally gang-raped, but a huge international ransom was also demanded in exchange for their freedom and life. The women were completely helpless and imprisoned within the walls of an unknown country.

That ‘secret’ call came from Spain…and the police raid at midnight
The suspense in this entire matter deepened when a phone call from Spain, thousands of miles away from Pakistan, reached top officials of Lahore Police. In fact, the father of one of the women held hostage had realized that his daughter was in trouble and somehow contacted Lahore Police directly from Spain. As soon as this input was received, Lahore Police was shocked because the matter was related to foreign citizens of two different countries. A special police team raided the said hideout at midnight and rescued both the women safely. On Thursday, the police registered a case against five accused under sections 365A (kidnapping) and 375A (gang rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and arrested four.

When the four accused—Muhammad Raza Dar, Hasan Raza, Sikandar Khan and Sajid Ali—were produced before the magistrate on Friday, the two victim women without hesitation pointed fingers at Raza Dar, calling him the “chief mastermind”. “Since this matter is very sensitive and a close relative of Deputy PM Ishaq Dar is directly involved in this high-profile case, there is huge pressure on the police, but we are investigating every single aspect in depth,” a senior police officer told PTI.
At present, the fifth accused is absconding after dodging the police, in search of whom continuous raids are being conducted. Now the biggest suspense is whether this influential political family of Pakistan will influence this investigation, or will these foreign women get complete justice on Pakistani soil? This case is also being closely monitored at the global level.
