Inflation across the country has broken all its records. Inflation has become so prevalent that even vegetables have disappeared from people’s kitchens. Inflation has set its foot on everything from vegetables to grains. To provide relief to the people from this inflation, Union Minister of State BL Verma has initiated to provide onion, flour and pulses on subsidy. He started this from the gate of Vishwa Hindu University.
To provide relief to the people troubled by inflation, Union Minister of State BL Verma (Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution) has started providing food items on subsidy. He started this from BHU Gate of Uttar Pradesh. During this period, he has dispatched mobile vehicles filled with eight types of food items. These vehicles carry onion, flour, rice and pulses, which will be available to the common people at low cost. 30 vehicles have been sent for the people of Banaras. These vehicles will go to different localities.

Union Minister of State BL Verma, while talking to the media at LD Guest House of BHU on Sunday, said that the work of providing ration and food items to the customers at low rates is being done through NCCF. This initiative has been flagged off on Sunday. 30 vehicles have been filled with food items and sent to the people. These vehicles include onion, masoor dal, moong dal, gram, rice, flour and gram dal.
What is the purpose?
The Minister of State said that its objective is to provide better food items to the people at less money. For the first time, with the help of NCCF and NAFED, onion has been transported through rail racks in many states of the country. The government is trying to provide food items to the people at subsidized rates.
