A case of rape of a Dalit woman has come to light in Kota, Rajasthan. After the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and started searching for the accused neighbor. At the same time, the police has got the woman’s medical done, the special thing is that the elder brother of the accused is also accused of rape. SI Banna Lal of Khatauli police station said that a report was lodged on April 29 on behalf of the woman from Bairwa community.
In the complaint, he said that on the night of 28th April, Hemant Goswami, who lived in front of the house, entered the house from the back door. He forcefully held her, stuffed a cloth in her mouth and then raped the woman. After raping, accused Hemant Goswami fled from the spot. Police investigation has so far revealed the time when the accused brutalized the Dalit woman. At that time her husband was out of the house and her mother-in-law and father-in-law were sleeping on the roof of the house.
Accused’s elder brother accused of rape
According to the information, a report of rape was given against the accused on the night of 29th and immediately after that, the police registered a case of rape and started searching for the accused. SI says that the accused is unmarried and the victim with whom this brutality happened. His age is about 23 years. After this incident, there is sensation in Khatauli area.

There is tremendous anger in the Dalit community regarding this incident. According to the information received from the police, Hemant Goswami lives in front of the victim’s house. The special thing is that the accused’s elder brother Mukesh Goswami is also accused of rape. Police investigation is going on in that case also. SI said that the medical examination of the woman has been done in the case and statements of the people will be recorded.
