‘Open shower facility in AC coach’
Passengers pay huge amount for first class AC coach. In such a situation, people are criticizing the negligence of Indian Railways on the condition of the coach. In the video, it seems as if a ‘mini waterfall’ has formed inside the coach. According to reports, passengers’ bags and other belongings got wet and spoiled due to water. As soon as the video went viral, people took the Railways to task. Many users described it as ‘a wonderful open shower given by the Railways for first class passengers’. Ticket prices are increasing, but the condition of security and cleanliness is bad.
Jokes aside, people expressed anger over the fact that the Railways is not able to maintain the trains properly despite charging premium fares from passengers. While sharing the video, the opposition party Congress made a scathing attack on the Central Government and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. The Congress demanded that the government focus on improving railway infrastructure and maintenance of trains instead of making hollow propaganda. The opposition also raised the question who is responsible for this pathetic condition of Indian Railways. Passengers say that the Central Government is inaugurating the Vande Bharat Express, but is ignoring the problems of passengers in express trains. Ticket prices are increasing, but the condition of facilities, security and cleanliness is very bad. Earlier, similar videos of water dripping from trains like Avantika Express have also surfaced.
