A fire broke out at a Tata Motors showroom in Gaya, Bihar, late last night, resulting in the destruction of five cars and extensive damage to the showroom premises, as reported by News18Hindi.
The incident transpired at the Tata Motors showroom near Tekuna Farm on the Gaya-Dobhi Road.
The blaze, believed to have originated from a short circuit, erupted on the ground floor where approximately eight new cars were on display. Unfortunately, five cars were completely gutted, while three were successfully removed from the premises.
Upon receiving information about the fire, multiple fire engines from the local fire department swiftly rushed to the scene. Tata Motors’ fire brigade vehicles were also mobilized to bring the situation under control. Through coordinated efforts, the fire brigade successfully contained the blaze before it could spread further.
While a short circuit is suspected as the cause, the exact trigger remains undetermined. Preliminary reports indicate that the fire initiated on the ground floor where new cars were showcased for customers.
The incident has raised concerns about fire safety measures in commercial establishments, prompting authorities to launch a thorough investigation. Despite severe damage on the ground floor, the upper levels of the showroom also suffered partial fire damage.
No injuries or casualties have been reported in connection with the incident. Ongoing efforts are being made to assess the extent of the damage to the showroom and its inventory.
