Manoj Kumar, the legendary actor and film director of Indian cinema, has passed away. Manoj Kumar was especially known for his patriotism. Apart from this, he is also known as ‘Bharat Kumar’. The veteran actor breathed his last at the age of 87. Manoj Kumar died of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
Born on 24 July 1937 as Harikrishna Giri Goswami, Manoj Kumar was an inspiration for all artists. Manoj Kumar, along with acting in many films made on patriotism, also directed him, including “Shaheed” (1965), “Upkar” (1967), “East and West” (1970), and “Roti Cloth and House” (1974).

Dada Saheb Phalke Award
Manoj Kumar was awarded the Padma Shri in 1992 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015 for his contribution to Indian cinema. He won everyone’s heart with his work. Apart from his patriotic films, he also acted and directed many of the best films like “Hariyali Aur Rasta”, “Woh Kaun Thi”, “in the Himalayan lap”, “Do Badan”, “Patthar Ke Sanam”, “Neel Kamal” and “Kranti”.
