Feviquik is a fast-drying adhesive that adheres to the superficial dead cells of the skin as soon as it is applied to the fingers and palm. This causes the fear of the skin coming off, but it can be easily removed if the right methods are adopted.
1. The easiest way is lukewarm water and soap.
Dip your hand in lukewarm water for 10-15 minutes.
This will soften the glue and slowly start separating from the skin.
Then massage with mild soap.
After repeating 2-3 times, Feviquick will come off on its own.
2. Petroleum Jelly / Mustard Oil / Coconut Oil
The oil loosens the grip of the skin and gum.
Apply mustard oil, coconut oil or vaseline on the affected area and leave it for 5 minutes.
Then rub lightly.
The glue will start coming out in layers.
This method is safe and does not harm the skin at all.
3. Baking Soda and Water Paste
If the glue has stuck too much,
Make a paste by mixing 1 teaspoon baking soda with some water.
Apply it on the affected area and then rub gently.
This softens the gum.
4. Acetone (nail polish remover), use with caution
If too much Faviquik is stuck,
Take some nail polish remover (Acetone) on cotton.
Apply only on the area where the glue is stuck, not on the surrounding skin.
After 10-15 seconds the glue starts becoming loose.
Caution: Do not use it excessively on dry or sensitive skin. Do not apply it on children at all.
5. Do not pull or cut the skin
Never try to remove Feviquik by pulling forcefully.
This may peel the skin and cause irritation or injury.
The glue loosens and comes off on its own within 24-48 hours.
6. What to do if there is burning or redness in the hand?
Wash with cold water.
Apply aloe vera gel or moisturizer.
If the burning sensation is severe, wash hands immediately with soap and water and keep them dry.
Feviquik generally does not cause allergies, but it may cause slight irritation in people with sensitive skin.
When to see a doctor?
If the skin starts turning black.
Started bleeding.
The glue does not come off for two days and there is pain.
There is glue on the eyes or lips.
