Disadvantages of ultra processed food
If your child eats too much of things like chips, packaged snacks, instant noodles, burgers, then it is a big threat to his health. Due to this, there is a risk not only of stomach related diseases but also of asthma. This claim has been made in a research. About 700 children aged 4 to 5 years were included in this research conducted under Spain’s Sando Project.
These children involved in the research were followed for about 4 years. In the research, the eating patterns of children were monitored. In this research, it was found that children who ate ultra-processed foods like chips, packaged snacks, instant noodles, burgers in their diet had a higher risk of asthma.
How dangerous is ultra processed food?
Research has shown that ultra processed food not only spoils the stomach health but it also spoils the gut microbiome. This affects the immune system and increases oxidative stress in the body. Which affects the lungs and increases the risk of asthma. In research, experts have said that nowadays chips, packaged snacks, instant noodles, burgers, pizza and sweet processed foods are increasing rapidly in the diet of children. These are a big danger for children.
Danger of excessive ultra-processed food
Research has shown that the risk of asthma among children who ate small amounts of ultra-processed food was 3 percent. It was 10 percent among those who ate less media and 17 percent among those who ate more. This means that the more processed food the children were eating, the greater was the risk of asthma.
Research has shown that processing, chemicals, preservatives, artificial flavors and additives are added to make ultra processed food. These are health hazards. Due to this, there is a risk of many stomach diseases and even intestinal cancer.
