New Delhi [भारत]July 24 (ANI): A fast track court has been set up at Rouse Avenue Court to hear offenses under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and other related offences. All related cases will be transferred to this special designated fast track court.
Delhi High Court has transferred Judge Anu Grover Baliga, in-charge of the Mediation Center of Tis Hazari Court, as a special judge in Rouse Avenue Court.
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the government has decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure speedy and stringent punishment to those involved in the paper leak.
Delhi High Court issued order
The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued orders to transfer Central Mediation Judge Anu Grover Baliga of Tis Hazari Court as Special Judge (PC Act) (CBI) (Specially Designated Fast Track Court) at Rouse Avenue Court Complex to hear cases under the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and related offences.
The order issued by Registrar General, Arun Bhardwaj, said the judicial officers will be under the control of the Principal District and Sessions Judge cum Special Judge (PC Act) (CBI), Rouse Avenue Court Complex, New Delhi.
The order further said that the Principal District and Sessions Judge cum Special Judge (PC Act) (CBI) of Rouse Avenue Court Complex will transfer all pending cases under the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and related offenses to the newly created fast track court.
Protests have been going on at Jantar Mantar against the NEET UG paper leak for almost a month. (ANI)
