Farmers protest before Nitin Gadkari’s program in Amritsar, police detained

Organized by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Amritsar on Sunday Farmers demonstrated before attending a program of Cooperative Bharati. The protesting farmers reached the venue and started raising slogans. The protesting farmers were taken into custody by the police. Let us tell you that farmers are continuously protesting in support of their demands on the Shambhu border of Punjab-Haryana. When the farmers tried to march to Delhi on Sunday, the police fired tear gas shells and the farmers postponed their march to Delhi on Sunday.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari reached Amritsar today. Gadkari participated in the 8th National Conference of Sahakar Bharti going on for the last two days in B-Block near Amritsar Railway Station. Before that the farmers demonstrated.

The meeting is being held in Amritsar under the chairmanship of National President Deenanath Thakur and National General Secretary Dr. Uday Joshi. More than 2500 delegates from across the country are participating in the Cooperative Indian National Conference dedicated to cooperatives.

National President of Sahakar Bharati, Dinanath Thakur said that it is a matter of great pleasure that for the first time the national conference of Sahakar Bharati is being held on the sacred land of Seva Bhoomi Amritsar. With the spirit of service, the workers of their area will have to work together for liberation with awakened minds and other energies.

Gadkari attended the Cooperative Indian National Conference

He said that when the Ministry of Cooperation was established in 2021, a new awareness towards cooperation was created in the country. After this the cooperative sector has got new glory. We all should be proud of the fact that Sahakar Bharti has contributed the most in this. In the three-day meeting, the action plan of Sahakar Bharti for the next three years is being discussed. On this occasion, Nitin Gadkari addressed the conference.
