Vice President expressed displeasure on farmers issue

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar seems to be angry with the government’s attitude towards farmers. During a programme, he asked Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan that if the promises made to the farmers have been made, then information should also be given about how much has been fulfilled. He said that this is a very deep issue. Taking it lightly means that we are not practical. Our policy making is not on the right track. Who are those people who tell farmers that they will give them a fair price for their produce? I don’t understand that a mountain will fall. The farmer is alone and helpless.

He said, ‘Agriculture Minister, every moment is heavy for you. I request you. The person holding the second position under the Constitution of India is requesting you to ask whether a promise was made to the farmer and if the promise was made then why was it not kept and what are we doing to fulfill the promise? There was a movement last year also and this year also there is a movement. The cycle of time is turning and we are not doing anything.
