The famous Twisha Sharma death case in Bhopal has now taken a serious turn at the political and administrative level. On Wednesday, the family members of deceased Twisha Sharma reached Madhya Pradesh Ministry, where they met Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. During this, the family demanded a fair investigation into the case, re-postmortem and justice. The Chief Minister assured the family that the state government will provide all possible assistance in this entire matter and the investigation will be carried forward in a transparent manner.
CM gave big assurance after meeting the family
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during the meeting with the family of Twisha Sharma, said that the government is looking at this sensitive matter seriously. He said that the process of sending letters to the Central Government and CBI to investigate the matter will be started so that the investigation can be conducted in a fair manner.
The CM also clarified that the decision to conduct re-postmortem comes under the jurisdiction of the court. However, if the family wishes, the government will provide transportation facilities to take the mortal remains to Delhi AIIMS.

Why is Twisha Sharma case in discussion?
Twisha Sharma, 33, a resident of Noida, died under suspicious circumstances on May 12 at her in-laws’ house in Katara Hills, Bhopal. Only five months had passed since the marriage. Initial investigation declared the case to be suicide, but the family termed it as suspicious death and made allegations of dowry harassment and mental torture. The family members allege that many important facts were ignored in the case and that is why they had demanded a second postmortem. The family is also refusing to accept the dead body for the last several days.
Demand for CBI investigation increases political stir
After the news of CBI investigation in the matter came to light, this case has now come into discussion at the national level. People are also demanding an impartial investigation on social media. The family says that they do not have full faith in the local investigating agencies and hence it is necessary to get the investigation done by a central agency.
What did the officials say on the role of the government?
According to sources, the state government is currently reviewing all the reports and legal processes related to the case. At the administrative level, instructions have been given to provide all kinds of assistance to the family. The police is already investigating the angle related to dowry death and cruelty.
