Suspense continues on who will be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The round of meetings of the constituent parties of Mahayuti is going on. Meanwhile, quoting sources, news has come that the formula of one Chief Minister, two Deputy CMs can be repeated again in Maharashtra. At the same time, it is being said that veteran BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is certain to become the Chief Minister, but the picture has not been officially revealed yet.
According to sources, Ajit faction in Mahayuti has no objection to Fadnavis being made the CM. If Fadnavis becomes CM, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar can become Deputy Chief Ministers, i.e. one CM and two Deputy CAs. The alliance can only implement the old formula. Shinde can be given heavy portfolios like Deputy CM and Urban Development Minister. Also, 10 or 12 ministers can be made from their party’s quota.
22 ministers can be made from BJP quota
At the same time, Ajit Pawar may get the finance department along with Deputy CM. Apart from this, about 10 ministerial posts can also come to his party’s account. Apart from this, 20 or 22 ministers can be made from BJP quota. However, Shinde’s Shiv Sena wants that CM Shinde brought the Ladli Behan scheme and did good work for two and a half years, hence initially he should get another chance for the post of CM. Now that Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar have been elected leaders of their respective parties, after this there will be a meeting of the three leaders of Maharashtra with the BJP top leadership and the name of the CM will be sealed, where Fadnavis is a strong contender.
Shinde, Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar can visit Delhi today
It is reported that leaders of Mahayuti constituents Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar can meet top BJP leaders in Delhi today and discuss government formation. Meanwhile, MLAs of Shiv Sena Shinde faction held a meeting in Mumbai yesterday. In this, Uday Samant presented a proposal to name Eknath Shinde as the leader of the party’s legislature party, which was passed unanimously. Shiv Sena officials and newly elected MLAs have given full authority to Eknath Shinde to take decisions of his party. NCP has also elected Ajit Pawar as the leader of the party legislature party.
