Extra water available for one month… Delhi water crisis case reaches Supreme Court

The matter of Delhi’s water crisis has reached the Supreme Court. The Delhi government has filed a petition in the apex court regarding the water problem in the country’s capital. In this petition, the Kejriwal government has talked about giving additional water to Delhi from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh for one month. The petition states that due to severe heat, the need for water in Delhi has increased. It is everyone’s responsibility to fulfill the needs of the country’s capital. Kejriwal can also hold a press conference regarding the water shortage in Delhi.

Before this, he made a long tweet on social media. He said that this time the whole country is experiencing unprecedented heat due to which there is a crisis of water and electricity across the country. The demand for water has increased a lot in this scorching heat and the water that Delhi used to get from the neighboring states has also been reduced. We all have to find a solution to this together. This is not the time to do politics. We all have to work together. BJP should talk to Haryana and UP government and get water for Delhi.

Delhi CM said that protests will not solve the problem. If BJP talks to its governments in Haryana and UP and gets some water for Delhi for a month, then the people of Delhi will greatly appreciate this step of BJP. No one can control such scorching heat. But if we all work together, we can provide relief to the people from this.

He said that last year the peak demand for electricity in Delhi was 7438 MW. In comparison, this year the peak demand has reached 8302 MW. But despite this, the power situation in Delhi is under control and there are no power cuts like in other states.
