How many millionaires in which state?
- ADR has analyzed 8051 candidates in its report. Under which only 2371 candidates are millionaires. This means that only 29 percent of the total candidates have wealth in crores.
- If we talk state wise, only 174 candidates were analyzed in Mizoram, out of which only 114 candidates were found to be crorepatis. This means that 66 percent of the candidates are crorepatis.
- Analysis of 1178 candidates has been done in Chhattisgarh. In which 299 candidates have been found to be millionaires. This means that 25 percent of the candidates have wealth worth crores. There has been a Congress government in Chhattisgarh.
- Analysis of 2534 candidates has been done in Madhya Pradesh, out of which 727 candidates i.e. 29 percent candidates are crorepatis.
- Analysis of 1875 candidates has been done in Rajasthan, out of which 651 i.e. 35 percent candidates are crorepatis.
- Analysis of 2290 candidates has been done in Telangana, out of which 580 i.e. 25 percent candidates have been found to be crorepatis.
Which party has the most crorepati candidates?
If we talk on the basis of party, then Congress has the maximum number of crorepati candidates. According to ADR report, Congress has 584 crorepati candidates. Whereas BJP has the number of these candidates at 549. According to ADR, 479 crorepati candidates have stood as independents in these five states. After that is BSP and BRS. Who have 135 and 114 crorepati candidates respectively.
Which candidate has the most wealth?
Now let us talk about the candidate who has the most wealth. Congress leader Gaddam Vivekananda has the most wealth. He has contested from Chennur constituency of Mancherial district of Telangana. Earlier he was in BJP, left which he joined Congress. He contested the Lok Sabha elections from Peddapalli on Congress ticket in 2009. When Gaddam Vivekananda joined Congress, he was the head of the manifesto committee of Telangana BJP and said that there was a need for change to end the rule of Chief Minister KCR in the state. Gaddam Vivekananda is the son of Congress leader and former Union Minister late G Venkataswamy, who was elected MP from Peddapalli four times. He did his schooling from Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet and his medicine, MBBS, from Osmania Medical College. He belongs to Mala community.
127 percent wealth in 9 years
Gaddam Vivekananda is the richest candidate in the elections held today i.e. Thursday, whose declared family assets are more than Rs 600 crore. In the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission, he has declared movable and immovable assets worth Rs 606.66 crore. The 66-year-old former MP has movable assets worth Rs 328.91 crore, while his wife G Saroja has assets worth Rs 51.84 crore. Vivek’s wealth has increased by 127 per cent since 2014, when he contested the Lok Sabha elections from Peddapalli.
