Sudha Dairy’s milk and milk products will become expensive from May 25

The people of Bihar have faced another shock of inflation. Bihar State Milk Cooperative Federation Limited has announced increase in the prices of milk and many milk products of Sudha Dairy. The new rates will be applicable from May 25. The increased prices will directly impact the pockets of common consumers, because everyday products like milk, curd, ghee, paneer and lassi will now be costlier than before.

Decision taken due to increase in milk purchase price

According to the information released by the Federation, the price of milk purchased from cattle rearing farmers has been increased from Rs 2 to Rs 3.13 per liter. Apart from this, the cost of raw materials, petroleum products, packaging materials, transportation and production was continuously increasing. For these reasons, a decision was taken to revise the prices of milk and milk products.

According to the new rates, half liter packet of Sudha toned milk will now be available for Rs 28 instead of Rs 27, while one liter packet will increase from Rs 52 to Rs 55. The price of half liter packet of double toned milk has increased from Rs 25 to Rs 26 and that of one liter has increased from Rs 48 to Rs 50.

Sudha Standard milk will be available for half a liter at Rs 31 and one liter at Rs 60. At the same time, half liter packet of Sudha Gold will now cost Rs 35 and one liter packet will cost Rs 68. The prices of cow milk and tea special milk have also been increased by Rs 1 to Rs 3.

Ghee, cheese and butter also became expensive

Not only milk, but many of Sudha’s popular products have also become expensive. Poly pack of 500 ml ghee will now be available for Rs 325 instead of Rs 315. The price of 200 grams of paneer has increased from Rs 85 to Rs 95 and that of half a kilo of paneer to Rs 220. There has also been a big increase in the price of table butter. 100 grams butter will now be available for Rs 62 and 500 grams butter will be available for Rs 305.

Prices of curd, lassi and sweets also increased

The prices of curd, lassi and sweets have also been increased. A pouch of 450 grams curd will now be available for Rs 35 and one kg curd for Rs 78. 140 ml Lassi will be available for Rs 12 and Mango Lassi for Rs 15. At the same time, the prices of sweets like Peda, Milk Cake, Kalakand, Rasgulla and Gulab Jamun have also been increased.
