More than 40 students have been injured in the police lathi charge at Bhagalpur Engineering College on Monday. According to the students, there was a clash inside the college. Police was called to calm this fight, but as soon as the police arrived, they resorted to lathi charge. In such a situation, students started running from here to there. Many students hid in the toilet, but the police took them out by breaking the door and beat them badly. Meanwhile, when the principal arrived, the police attacked him also.
Engineering college students expressed their pain in front of the media on Tuesday. Said that there was a fight between two groups of students inside the engineering college. Therefore, the police was informed, but instead of resolving the dispute, the police came and directly resorted to lathi charge. More than 300 policemen had arrived together. They broke the doors of rooms and toilets in the hostel, dragged each student out and then vandalized and beat them severely.

Students said that out of fear many students hid in the toilet, but the policemen took them out from there too. They were beating like animals and abusing. When the principal reached there after receiving the information, the police beat him up as well. His car was also broken. After this, the police made all the students vacate the hostel. More than 40 students have been injured in this incident. In these, many students have suffered head injuries and many have suffered serious injuries in their hands and legs.
Principal complained to SP City
Students told that the police had entered the rooms and vandalized them. In this, laptops, computers and other valuable equipment of many students were broken. In this matter the principal has given a complaint to SP City and demanded action. On the other hand, the police is refraining from saying anything regarding this incident. Off record police said that students had pelted stones at the police. In such a situation, lathicharge was done to control the situation. According to police officials, the matter is being investigated.
