Five Naxalites were killed in the encounter between police and Naxalites in Kanker, Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Police has released the photographs of the killed Naxalites, although their identification has not been done yet. Bodies of Kanker Naxalites are being brought from Pakhanjur. Among the dead Naxalites, there are 2 women and 3 men. Police have recovered huge quantity of weapons including one INSAS, one SLR, 12 bore rifle BGL.
In the statement issued by the police, it has been said that the encounter took place in North Abujhmad, District Narayanpur or Kanker.So far, bodies of 5 uniformed Naxalites including two female Maoists have been recovered in the searching.

According to the information, the whole matter is of Pundag adjacent to Samri Path police station area of the district, where a CRPF camp has been established at some distance for the last two years and various types of campaigns are being conducted by the police against the Naxalites continuously to eliminate them. However, attempts by Naxalites to target security forces and cause harm have been coming to light from time to time. Similarly, this time also the Naxalites had planted an Eid tiffin bomb weighing about 4 kg and their aim was to harm the security forces, but they did not succeed in their plans. The security personnel foiled his intentions.
Naxalites’ intention to harm security forces failed
In fact, Chunchuna Pundag and Morning in Samri Path police station area have been facing the brunt of Naxalites for a long time. Giving information regarding the entire matter, Additional Superintendent of Police, Naxal Operation of the district, Shailendra Pandey said that information was received from the informer that an IED bomb had been planted, where the BDS team immediately reached and defused the bomb safely. This bomb was planted a short distance away from CRPF. At present, crimes are being registered against the Naxalites and the search for their house is going on. The presence of an ID card at a short distance from the security force camp seems to indicate the presence of Naxalites somewhere.
