ELI Scheme: The Central Government had introduced the ‘Employment Linked Incentive’ scheme for the job seekers in Budget 2024. What is ELI scheme and how much benefit will you get?
ELI scheme was announced in Budget 2024. For this, employees should be registered with EPFO and their UAN should be active. ELI scheme has been started in (A, B and C) categories, in which direct benefits transfer will be available through DBT.

How much benefit will be available in ELI scheme?
Under Plan A of the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme, those employees who are doing the job for the first time will get one month’s salary as incentive. This amount will be maximum Rs 15000 in three installments. To avail the benefit of this scheme, your salary should be less than Rs 1 lakh per month.
Whereas in Plan B, those working in the manufacturing sector will get incentive for 4 years in the amount contributed to EPFO. Whereas Plan C will focus on additional employees with monthly salary up to Rs 1 lakh, which will include employees from all sectors and in this, the EPFO contribution amount up to Rs 3,000 per month per employee will be returned by the government to the employer for the next 2 years.
What then if UAN is not activated till 30th?
If you have not activated UAN by 30th November and have not linked your Aadhar card with the bank, then there is no need to panic. According to the news of Economic Times, experts have said that the ELI portal has not been created yet.
