Union Home Minister Amit Shah is currently on a tour of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the central government is deploying Electronic Survelance System to protect the borders of the country. Also, technology will be used to locate and destroy tunnels around the border to thwart the infiltration of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing BSF personnel during the visit of Border Outpost Vinay near the international border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, Home Minister Shah appreciated the contribution of Monday’s Border Security Force (BSF) today and praised BSF jawans for performing their duties in challenging circumstances.

The Union Home Minister said, “We are deploying an electronic monitoring system on our borders, with 2 models… if there is anything (from the enemy), you will be able to answer immediately.” He further said that due to technology, it will also help in increasing ease. The Home Minister said, “Also technical means will be used to identify and destroy underground tunnels.”
