‘Ekatm Parv’ will start in Omkareshwar from April 17, which will be inaugurated by CM Mohan Yadav. This five-day long festival will include Advaita Darshan, cultural programs and ‘Shankardoot’ resolution of 700 youth.
Bhopal. A five-day ‘Ekatma Parv’ will begin from April 17 (Friday) at Omkareshwar, the initiation site of Adi Shankaracharya, the reviver of Indian culture and the pioneer of Advaita Vedanta. This festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. This event will be very special from philosophical, cultural and spiritual point of view in ‘Ekatm Dham’ situated in the caves of Mandhata mountain.
Dignified presence of saints and scholars
Saints, scholars and sages from India and abroad will participate in this festival organized on the auspicious occasion of Vaishakh Shukla Panchami. Dwarka Peethadhishwar Swami Sadanand Saraswati, Vivekananda Kendra Vice President Nivedita Bhide and Swami Shardanand Saraswati will be present in the program. The Chief Minister will inaugurate the exhibition ‘Advaita Lok’ and ‘Akshar Brahma’ and will also participate in Vedic rituals.
‘Advaitamritam’ discussion: discussion on modern topics
During ‘Ekatma Parva’, ‘Advaitamritam – Vimarsh Sabha’ will be organized, in which the relevance of Advaita philosophy in today’s time will be discussed. On the first day, youth perspective will come forward on topics like ‘Advaita and Gen-Z’. In the coming days, Advaita philosophy will be linked to Artificial Intelligence (AI), environmental protection, global peace and the ‘Ek Omkar’ principle of Sikhism. This initiative is a unique effort to connect the new generation with the core ideas of Advaita.
Attractive presentations of the cultural evening ‘Raso Vaisa’
A cultural evening called ‘Raso Vaisa’ will be organized every day during the festival. On the first day, classical singing by Jayateertha Mevundi and Odissi presentation ‘Ekam’ by Shubhada Varadkar will be the main attractions. In the subsequent days, the expressions of Advaita will be presented through Bharatnatyam, Carnatic music and Nirguna Vani.
700 youth resolve to become ‘Shankardoot’
The initiation ceremony held on 21st April will be a special part of this festival. In this, more than 700 youth from India and abroad will take pledge as ‘Shankardoot’. This event is being considered an important step towards connecting the youth with spiritual and cultural values.
Importance of ‘Ekatm Dham’ and ‘Idol of Unity’
Madhya Pradesh Government is establishing the philosophy of Adi Shankaracharya at the global level through ‘Ekatm Dham’ in Omkareshwar. The 108 feet high Statue of Oneness established here and the ‘Advaita Lok’ museum under construction are making it a major spiritual and tourist centre. This festival is being considered an important initiative towards connecting the country culturally and ideologically.
