The agency is investigating dishonest financial transactions involving huge sums of money. It is alleged that this amount was sent through several institutions for dubious purposes.
Investigators suspect that the funds may have been diverted through complex financial arrangements, leading the agency to intensify its investigation.

The premises being searched include those of Carewell Aviation, its directors and an alleged election trust. This trust is believed to have handled or facilitated some of the financial transactions that came under the scanner.
agency engaged in gathering evidence
Officials said documents, digital records, financial statements and other evidence are being examined to trace the movement of funds and establish the nature of the transactions. The purpose of this search is to gather additional evidence and identify individuals and entities who may have played a role in the alleged financial deals.
The ED is also examining banking records and corporate documents to determine whether any provisions of the anti-money laundering law have been violated.
This latest operation is another important step in ED’s ongoing investigation into suspected financial crimes and money laundering cases involving political and corporate entities. The federal agency is expected to continue to analyze the seized materials and interrogate people associated with the case, to establish the alleged flow of funds and identify any beneficiaries of the transactions.
