Earthquake in India: Earthquake tremors were felt from Delhi-NCR to Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening. At many places, people got scared and came out of their homes and offices. According to initial information, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindukush area of Afghanistan. Its intensity was measured at 6.2 on the Richter scale. According to Indian time, the earthquake occurred at around 7:04 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be near the Kalafgan region in north-eastern Afghanistan. This is the reason why its shocks were not limited to Afghanistan only, but were also felt in many neighboring countries.

The tremors of this earthquake were not limited to just one or two countries. People also reported feeling tremors in some areas of Pakistan, India, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. At many places in Jammu and Kashmir, people also shared on social media that they felt tremors. However, no major damage has been confirmed.

Earlier on Friday, an earthquake was also recorded in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The intensity of that earthquake was 3.2 and its epicenter was in the Himalayan region near Dharamshala. It was an earthquake of light intensity and no damage was reported.
