DYK The Devil Wears Prada 2 Co-Stars Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci Are Related In Real Life?

After making the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, stars  and Stanley Tucci remained good friends. Six years after the film released, Blunt and Tucci were in-laws. The Citadel actor met Emily’s older sister, Felicity Blunt, at the red carpet premiere of The Devil Wears Prada. The two met again in 2010 after the death of Tucci’s first wife and the rest, as they say, is history. Blunt and Tucci walked the red carpet of the London premiere of  together with their spouses. Tucci met his second wife, Felicity, at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada in 2006. At the time, he was married to his late wife Kate Spath-Tucci. Unfortunately, she died of breast cancer in 2009 at the age of 47. They had three children, twins Nicolo and Isabel, 26, and Camilla, 21. After the end of the fashion blockbuster, Emily and Stanley kept in touch. Felicity and Stanley met again at Emily’s wedding to The Office actor John Krasinski in 2010.

The wedding took place at the Villa d’Este in Como, Italy and the newlyweds stayed at George Clooney’s Lake Como estate. Two years after Emily and John’s wedding, Stanley and Felicity were wed in London. The private ceremony held in late September 2012 was attended by Colin Firth, Julianne Moore and of course, their The Devil Wears Prada co-star  who plays Miranda Priestly.

Emily’s older sister, Felicity, works at Curtis Brown Group as an English literary agent. Emily and Felicity also have younger siblings, with a younger sister Susannah and a younger brother, Sebastian. Felicity, who is 45 and Stanley, who is 65, have a 21-year age gap. The actor revealed he was wary of getting into a relationship after the death of his first wife and being much older than Felicity. But the connection between them was hard to ignore.

The couple has two children, a son, Matteo, 11, and a daughter, Emilia, eight. In an interview with Desert Island Discs, Stanley had shared that Felicity made their life easier by coming into it and taking care of three children who lost their mother. He stated, “That’s a huge thing, at a very young age too. If anybody made things better for all of us, it’s her. She’s the one.”

When Emily and Stanley shot together for The Devil Wears Prada sequel in Italy, they vacationed together with their extended family. Emily and John’s children Hazel, 12, and Violet, 9, were always playing with their younger cousins.

Director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna came back for the sequel, which also stars Anne Hathaway. She, Emily, Stanley and Meryl are all reprising their characters from the original film. Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu and Simone Ashley join the cast, while Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace have cameos.
