Materials required for this

  • Flowers: 40 grams
  • Ginger: 1/2 inch
  • Bit: 1 Medium
  • Carrot: 1 medium
  • Garlic: a little
  • Lemon : 1/2
  • Coriander: a handful
  • Water: 500 ml
  • Salt
  • Ghee: 1-2 tbsp (optional)

Method of preparation

  • First of all, cook the flowers, grated ginger, grated beetroot, grated carrot, grated garlic and 500 ml water in a pressure cooker. – Then add salt and black pepper powder and mix.
  • After mixing everything in a pressure cooker, cook it for 3 whistles. You have to close the lid of the cooker properly so that pressure can build up.
  • After 3 whistles, do not open the cooker immediately but let the pressure release on its own. – When the pressure is released, open the lid of the cooker and add the juice of 1/2 lemon.
  • Garnish with a handful of coriander. Transfer it to a large bowl and serve hot.

How does this soup help detoxify the liver?
Gut and hormone health coach Manpreet Kalra says cauliflower contains a compound called indole, which helps heal fatty liver. While the nutrients in beetroot and ginger kick-start the liver’s detoxification process and move waste so it can be eliminated through stool and urine.

According to experts, garlic is used to make this soup. The selenium and allicin compounds present in garlic remove toxins from the body. Apart from this, the antioxidant properties present in garlic help in controlling fatty liver.

The lemon used in making this soup helps in breaking down the unhealthy fat particles present in the body. With the help of lemon, dirt does not stick to the liver and other organs. Which helps in reducing the problem of fatty liver and liver inflammation. Not only this, vitamin C present in lemon helps in detoxifying the liver.
