According to government data, the US will remain India’s largest trading partner for the fourth consecutive year 2024-25, which stood at US $ 131.84 billion, while during the same period the country’s trade deficit with China increased to US $ 99.2 billion. In the last financial year, India’s exports to China declined by 14.5 per cent to US $ 14.25 billion, as compared to US $ 16.66 billion in 2023-24. However, the import increased by 11.52 per cent to US $ 113.45 billion in 2024-25, as compared to US $ 101.73 billion in 2023-24. In the last financial year, the trade deficit with China has increased by about 17 percent to US $ 99.2 billion, which was US $ 85.07 billion in 2023-24. China will remain India’s second largest trading partner in 2024-25 with a two-way trade of US $ 127.7 billion, while in 2023-24 it was US $ 118.4 billion.
America is the biggest trading partner

In the coming years, bilateral trade between India and the United States is expected to fast as the two countries are talking on a trade agreement.
