Iqra Hasan reached DIG office regarding murder case

According to the information, the family members are continuously alleging murder regarding the death of Monu Kashyap, resident of Jasala village of Shamli. The family says that the police is not taking serious action in the case. Regarding this issue, SP MP Iqra Hasan reached the DIG office in Saharanpur along with the victim’s family on Tuesday afternoon. Iqra Hasan alleges that she had gone to meet the officials only to get justice for the victim’s family, but instead of listening to her, the police tried to stop her. The MP says that an attempt was made to put pressure on him by making him sit in the women’s police station.

Heated argument between police and MP

The atmosphere became tense outside the DIG office when an argument started between the police and supporters regarding the removal of the MP’s convoy. Police say that the road was being obstructed due to the vehicles of the convoy and people were facing difficulty in commuting. For this reason the vehicles were removed. However, Iqra Hasan denied this claim. He said that all his vehicles were parked in the designated parking and there was no jam of any kind. The MP alleged that the administration deliberately tried to harass him.

Controversy increased in women’s police station

During the incident, the atmosphere in the women’s police station also became heated. It is alleged that the SHO present there tried to hold the hand of the MP, on which Iqra Hasan got enraged. He told the police officer in a stern tone, “Don’t touch, stay away.” During this time, when the policemen tried to give him water, the MP expressed his displeasure and refused to even take water. After staying in the women’s police station for about seven minutes, she went out from there.

MPs angry over arrest of supporters

The matter escalated further when the news of arrest of SP supporters came to light. Angered by this, Iqra Hasan went straight to Sadar police station and sat there in a dharna posture. She clearly said that she will not leave the place until the arrested workers are released. There was also a heated exchange between the police officers present at the police station and the MP. During this time, a large number of Samajwadi Party leaders and workers reached the police station, due to which the political turmoil in the area increased further.

Police called the allegations baseless

Meanwhile, Saharanpur Police has termed all the allegations of the MP as baseless. Officials say that no one was detained and the entire action was taken only to maintain law and order. According to the police, traffic was being affected due to crowd and vehicles on the road, hence steps were taken to manage the situation.
