Do not change religion due to greed or fear… Union chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement about conversion

Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat attended the silver jubilee celebrations of Shri Bhavteshwar Mahadev Temple in Valsad district on Saturday. Here he talked about the issue of ongoing conversion in the country. He said that religion can lead everyone towards happiness, we should not convert religion due to greed or fear.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Saturday that greed and temptation can be faced in everyday life and these things can remove people from their religion, but religion can lead everyone to happiness.

Bhagwat, while attending the silver jubilee celebrations of Sri Bhaveshwar Mahadev Temple at Sadgurudham in Barumal in Valsad district, said that people should not change their religion under the influence of greed or fear under any circumstances.

We do not want to fight- Sangh chief

The Sangh chief said that we know to unite and want to be united. We do not want to fight, but we have to save ourselves because even today there are forces that we want to change (convert to religion). He said but even when there is no such strength in our daily life, incidents of greed and temptation come out.

Not getting caught in selfishness and greed- Mohan Bhagwat

Bhagwat said that there was no one to convert during the Mahabharata, but what Duryodhana did in the greed to grab the kingdom of the Pandavas was iniquity. He said that religious conduct should be done regularly. We should not work under the influence of attachment and fascination, nor should we get caught in selfishness. It should not happen that greed or fear will distract us from our faith. That is why such centers have been established here.

Bhagwat was referring to Sadgurudham, which conducts social activities in remote tribal areas for the upliftment of tribals. He said that when such centers were not operated in these areas, the ascetics used to go from village to village and tell them satsangs and they were firm on the path of religion. He said that later when the population increased, these centers were established, where people come and take advantage of religion.
