Three resolutions were passed in the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting on Saturday and former Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar was unanimously elected as the new leader of the legislature party. That means now the Siddaramaiah era is over and DK will now be the next Chief Minister of the state. It is being told that 4 Deputy CMs can be made in Karnataka. At the same time, 10 ministers can be removed from the current cabinet and new faces can be made ministers.
Siddaramaiah proposed DK’s name
In the meeting, outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah proposed the name of DK Shivakumar as the new leader of the legislature party. Party leader Dr. G Parameshwara supported this proposal, after which everyone present at the meeting unanimously approved it. AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal announced that DK Shivakumar has been elected as the new leader of the Congress Legislature Party. He will take oath as Chief Minister.
