Although most of the country’s businessmen and common people performed Lakshmi Puja of Diwali on Thursday i.e. 31st October, but the special Diwali Muhurat trading of the stock market is to be held on 1st November.
On the occasion of Diwali, the country’s major stock markets BSE and NSE will remain closed on Friday i.e. 1st November. The market will be open only for Diwali special Muhurta trading session for one hour in the evening. We also tell you its exact timing.
Diwali Muhurat Trading Timings
Special Muhurta trading on Diwali in both BSE and NSE stock exchanges will take place on November 1 between 6 pm to 7 pm. Muhurta trading in the stock market is considered to mark the beginning of a new Samvat of the Hindu calendar. Samvat 2081 is starting from this day.
In India, businessmen start new accounts on the day of Diwali. These ledgers are worshiped along with Diwali and the beginning of the new era is mentioned on it. Therefore, the same tradition is followed in the stock market also. However, officially the finance is calculated only according to the financial year of the country i.e. April to March.
